THE JOURNEY TO SANDLAND BRYGGE

It is easy to get to Sandland Brygge despite our exotic location in the north of Norway. Sandland is situated in the municipality of Loppa (Loppa kommune), ca. 120 km from Alta. Loppa kommune is located south west in Finnmark with its coastline facing Nordishavet. Øksfjord, about one-hour drive from Alta, is the communication centre in the municipality and from here you can get to Sandland either by car ferry or passenger ferry. Another option is to take the passenger ferry directly from Alta.

AIRPLANE
The closest airport is Alta Lufthavn.

BUS
From the airport in Alta (Alta Lufthavn) there are daily departures to and from Øksfjord.

CAR
With your own car, or a rental car from Alta Lufthavn, you can drive to Øksfjord. From Øksfjord you can either take the car ferry to Sør-Tverrfjord or park your car in Øksfjord and catch the passenger ferry directly to Sandland Brygge.

CAR FERRY
From Øksfjord you can take the car ferry to Sør-Tverrfjord, ca. 9 km from Sandland Brygge.

PASSENGER FERRY
From Alta and Øksfjord you can catch the passenger ferry directly to Sandland Brygge.

PRIVATE BOAT
It is possible to rent a private boat to Sandland Brygge from the airport in Alta or from Øksfjord.

HELICOPTER
It is possible to hire a helicopter directly from Alta Lufthavn to Sandland Brygge.
